Passing a kidney stone is very painful. Those who have experienced it will do anything possible to avoid that process again. I have never passed a kidney stone, but I have witnessed someone else going through it. I can tell you it wasn’t a pretty sight. My fiancé woke my up one night because he was in a lot of pain. I went back to sleep, but woke up to the sight of him crawling on the floor begging me to take him to the hospital. It was 4 AM.
