Keeping laundry supplies out of the reach of children

My laundry room is very small and offers no storage space whatsoever. I stored my laundry needs by placing them on top of the dryer. I was so afraid my children would get into them, and the heat from the dryer would turn small spills and drips into large messes that were hard to clean up. I installed shelving above my washer and dryer. The shelving is ideal for storing all of my laundry needs and supplies, such as laundry detergent, fabric softener, stain remover, and bleach. The messes on top of the dryer have been eliminated, and my laundry room is more organized. The shelves are set at just the right height for me, so everything is within reach and easily accessible. They are high enough, however, that my young children cannot get into and ingest any of the harmful products.
